    Professor Bruno Barsic, specialist in infectious diseases, Professor of Infectious Diseases, head of the Department for Neuroinfectology and Intensive Care Unit of the University Hospital for Infectious Diseases "Dr Fran Mihaljevic", Zagreb was awarded the National Award for Scientific Achievement in Biomedical Sciences for the year 2009.
